1. Upon receiving the exam, the proctor will make one copy to give to the student.
2. Upon beginning the exam instruct the student to put their Full Name and UF ID on each page of the exam.
3. The proctor is responsible for ensuring that all rules of the exam as indicated on the UF EDGE Exam Coversheet are followed by the student.
4. If there is more than one student in the same location they must take the exam at the same time. In addition, the proctor must be present to ensure there is no communication between the students once the exam has begun.
5. If there are questions which arise during the exam, the proctor is responsible for contacting the instructor for clarification. If the instructor is not reachable the proctor will instruct the student to make a reasonable assumption, note the assumption on the exam and continue with the exam. Also note the same on the coversheet in the certification block.
6. Once the exam is completed and the certification signed, the proctor is responsible for returning the exam to the Instructor. Normally the exam is returned either via e-mail or fax. If you have problems returning the exam to the instructor, contact the UF EDGE office toll free at 877-883-3343.
7. NOTE: The student should NEVER be allowed to return the exam.
8. Keep one copy in your files until the exam has been graded by the professor.
9. Destroy/Trash the original e-mail and attachments containing the exam and instructions.
